From Barahona to Santo Domingo: What’s Next for Cliff & Cove

If there’s one thing the Dominican Republic teaches you, it’s that life is always moving. After ten years of calling el sur profundo my home, I’m packing up from my little corner in Barahona and heading to big city of Santo Domingo. Big shift, right? But don’t worry—Cliff & Cove isn’t going anywhere. The south coast will always be part of my story, but this move also opens the door to explore and share more of the country.

Think of it as widening the lens. I’ll still bring you the gems of Barahona and the surrounding areas, but now you’ll also see posts about other regions of the Dominican Republic—from mountain towns to coastal escapes, and yes, the pulse of life in the capital. Whether it’s a new eco-hotel you must visit, must-see beaches, foodie must haves, or a city guide to Santo Domingo, I want this blog to be your practical, honest guide.
